Chicago: You talked. We listened. Our map was drawn on #community input and in a partnership with the people of Chicago. We made sure to keep more communities whole so that neighborhoods are less divided and there is true ward focus.

Letter signed by the 14 remaining supporters of the @ChicagoMap2022 says they are “disappointed” that Ald. Felix Cardona “flip flopped” and decided to back the @chiunitedmap instead. Call his decision “cynical” and different from what he had told them as recently as this morning.

Currently, Chicago Lawn lacks cohesive representation in #citycouncil. With no alderperson living there, there is no ward focus. In our map proposal, the 17th Ward represents 80% of Chicago Lawn residents, making a ward focused on Chicago Lawn residents. #YourCityYourVoice
