@EdKrassen Farm bankruptcies are up due to the last several years due to Biden. Just because they are filing this year has nothing to do with Trump. As most have not harvested anything yet or sold any crops as they are still growing.

@paullistman @DwaunElam @Suzierizzo1 But you don’t realize that this is for all farmers. We don’t set the price. I’m a dairyman. Milk is traded on the stock market. We get told a month later what our milk is worth. So you saying farmers raise prices. We would love that but can’t.

They would love to raise prices but they can’t. This is why farms are going out. When you understand farm economics then you will understand

@DwaunElam @paullistman @empty_running01 @Suzierizzo1 Not how farm economics work. Some years farms break even or lose money and sometimes they hit it big. How is $11 not a living wage? Farming is not like other businesses that can just raise prices because inputs go up.

Unless you sell a niche product or at their own farm stand. The market will set price. Farmers growing blueberries already have a contract before season starts.

@paullistman @empty_running01 @DwaunElam @Suzierizzo1 You seem to not understand. If farmers are able to pay a higher wage they would. But they do not set the prices. They cannot store blueberries for long time. The prices are set at harvest based on reports of production or early season contracts.
