How to kill your development 101

This is insane to me. Miami. Florida. ASU. Georgia. Sac State. Mississippi State. Bounces from program to program, barely produces, yet there’s always another opportunity? CFB is giving players 0 incentive to stick it out, develop, compete for a job or show any loyalty.

Recruits, If you’re falling behind in the weight room. You’re probably falling behind on the field too.

@1JHancock1 Jay, need a lot more film to make a solid judgement. One other recommendation would be to circle/point to yourself when each clip starts so I know which player I’m looking at.

@ZaneZRRobinson Zane, you have a lot of the traits coaches want to see. Physiciality, ability to get to the second level, ability to finish blocks, etc. You have 2 solid offers. You’ll do just fine!

@ETowne12 Evan, you have some dynamic QB play here. You can sense pressure and you’re a threat on the ground. Would recommend looking into some FCS/DII programs who like to run their quarterback and reach out to their coaches.

Your messages to coaches should not be: “Hey coach here’s my film ______, let me know what you think” It should be: “Good afternoon coach ______, I’ve beem studying your offense/defense and here is how I think I can fit in your scheme. Here is my film ______. Thank you.”

@Bigplaytre1 @AllenTrieu @TheD_Zone @alex_pallone @CoachAJG @Ricoknowstiktok @coachirishodea @CoachMurphy87 @BrownU_Football @koreyringer Tre, you have some promise. Focus on building out your frame in the weight room. Make sure to work on speed as well. There will be a lot of guys your size who you'll be competing for attention with who are quick, scrappy, and physical.

@XavierGraddy Xavier, I like what I see so far. You have great size and you're still young. Have to ask, is this varsity you're playing against?

@Jamir_Hall2 Jamir, you have the instincts of a college running back/slot. Main concern is size and frame. A bit skinny for what a college coach might want. Hit that weight room hard

@d1_dara Dara, you have some good stuff. My question is if you are going to be able to shed blocks at the next level against bigger guys. One other concern is that you seem to run into the QB a bit after they throw, that's risky business in college.

@kyveonperkins KyVeon, not a lot of true CB film here. You are aggressive and a good tackler. The question is can you keep up with higher level WRs and not get beat on the one-on-ones

@LoganBonneau Logan, solid stuff. I think you play taller than you are. Good break-away speed. Definitely a lot of potential. Would recommend reaching out to local schools.

Recruits, Treat every game like you’re building your resumé. Coaches don’t want to see all your highlights come from one game. Stay consistent.

Recruits, When putting together your film, your first 3 clips can be the difference between you getting offers and you getting passed up.

@ClaytonBaugh11 Not bad. Would recommend circling/underlining/pointing to yourself on the film so coaches know which one you are. The first three clips all seem to be at different angles which can be offputting to some. At your position, coaches want to see a bully, show them you’re that guy.

You do not have to be 6’0+ to be a good wide receiver. You do not have to be 6’0+ to be a good wide receiver. You do not have to be 6’0+ to be a good wide receiver.

I called every coach in my phone about him and they all told me he was 2 small or most left me on read. TO THE UNDERDOGS, RUN YOUR OWN RACE. I know it’s gets tough, but keep going.
