@steerstrong @CreightonForTX This is my concern an educator is that we don’t see the $395 that the house proposed. Our school district has a lot of needs and we are struggling with the increases in all items with inflations since the last allotment increase in 2019.

@wesvirdelltx @hors7904 Uvalde must be proud to have you represent their district, this coming from a Texas House of Representatives Member.

@hors7904 @wesvirdelltx This is a big issue for school districts! Having to hire and fund a school resource officer for a district that has 650 students K-12 has taken funds away from other areas. We need the funding for the mandates from the 2023 session.

@NateSchatzline Why should the public school students be subjected to the STAAR test when the private voucher students don’t have to take the test?

@wesvirdelltx Parents just received the option from the School Choice Bill. Would taking this “educational scholarship” be added onto the 10,000 voucher?

@GregAbbott_TX I am a public school teacher- I would love to have a conversation with you! You have held hostage funding from the last session over this school voucher proposal and will probably do it again. I look forward to voting you out of office in 26!

@abrahamgeorge Put it to the voters of Texas to decide! The majority do not want this for Texas.

@GregAbbott_TX You have been in charge of Texas education for a long time. Why have you waited so long to try to be number one? Trying to be number one will only be achieved by supporting public education and not being in the 40’s in teacher pay and school funding.

@wesvirdelltx @Cmcmillan76 The $6100 has not been raised since 2019 and has not kept up with inflation. That number needs to be around 7,500 to keep up with inflation.
