Elon Musk is firing half of @twitter employees on Friday according to @Bloomberg. He’s also ending all remote work and requiring remaining employees to show up at their offices.
@ClayTravis @twitter @Bloomberg That’ll turn out horribly. And people think he’s good at business???
@ClayTravis @twitter @Bloomberg Would it not be more cost effective to keep employees working at home while using smaller, cheaper office space structures that mainly serve as hubs for important meetings? The employees produce better work because they get more rest and are happier because they save more time.
@ClayTravis @twitter @Bloomberg Damn, hate reading all the comments trashing remote employees. I’m the #1 performing worker on my team, and I’m 100% remote. I get more done at home than at office. I don’t waste time driving to the office, or waste time driving home, less distractions, & “recharge” more at home
@ClayTravis @twitter @Bloomberg If they haven't come into the office in the last year they should be the first to go.
@ClayTravis @twitter @Bloomberg Really curious if someone can explain to me why working from home is a bad thing? And Elon is some savior because he’s making people go back to the office? Efficiencies go out the door with the 5 day 40 hour workweek in the office.
@ClayTravis @twitter @Bloomberg Sooooooo an employer is requiring his employees to show up and do the job he pays them for? Outrageous...
@ClayTravis @twitter @Bloomberg If you get your job done it doesn’t make a damn difference where you are. There are a lot of jobs that physically can’t be done from bed, but I can definitely run SQL queries in my jammies.
@ClayTravis @twitter @Bloomberg The nerve.....show up to work in person
@ClayTravis @twitter @Bloomberg Remote work is unsustainable. Junior folks need mentoring. Teams and Zoom are great. But it doesn’t replace TRUE human interaction. Hybrid is the best approach IMO.
