Autistic children learn a lot from ABA therapy like how to live in an abusive relationship where their feelings don't matter.

Forcing children to go repeatedly risks sensitising them to school, rather than desensitising them (as the school hopes). Think about it, what happens if you forced to go somewhere you really dislike, day after day. Do you start to love it? Or do you give up hope? 9/

Wondering if other ADHD folks do the thing where you just have to have a “recovery” day every now and then where you don’t try to make yourself do anything your brain doesn’t want to do, and just let yourself ping around doing whatever pops into your head? #askadhd

My new stock response when asked for free ND advice I really love your endeavour and aim. However this does perpetuate the culture of asking NDs to give our expertise, experience and toil for free instead of employing NDs as consultants.

Four years ago today I was discharged from a children’s mental health unit. Today I signed a contract with a literary agent. I’m going to be an author. I don’t often feel proud of myself, but today I do. 😭
