Great day to be hitting the woods right before dawn
Try to mask the draw of your bow when a gust of wind comes through so it will just seem like another branch
Try and ditch the stand and head out on foot for deer in the winter try and hunt where the woods get thick and you will see alot of deer
Commercial pop up blinds can make animals weary try and leave it up a week before your season starts to get the animals comfortable with it
I think the best therapy is a solo hunt deep in the woods nothing clears your mind better
The cold weather should be condensing birds in your area try and use your dog to break them up once you find them
Before you can a successful hunt remember to give thanks to the man above that created it all and to take in all of natures glory
Remember to thank the animal for giving its life to feed your family. Its the least you can do
Check the frost on your deer tracks if they are covered that means they not to fresh but if they go though the frost there fresh tracks
After field gutting the winter pack your deer with snow that can help freeze the meat to keep it fresher if you need time to get it home
Time to start changing your game and start winter pattering as deer begin to change the rut and fall habitats to settle down for the winter
Hunt thick cover near food or water sources like oak ridges near a stream next to dense bedding areas
Periodically use a squirrel call to disguise your movement when hunting
