Just received an email that binding arbitration with Ontario's doctors is back on! This is terrific news. Binding arbitration will ensure a fair deal, both for Ontario's doctors and for Ontario's taxpayers. #onpoli

Ontario's doctors have been without a settled contract for FIVE YEARS, and in that time the gov't has unilaterally clawed back their earnings. MDs gave up their right to strike in favour of #arbitration. If @fordnation @celliottability take that away...

Again, let’s be clear. @OntariosDoctors and I are fully non-partisan. I supported good work done by all parties. I tweeted about each of them during election campaign. I’m unsure why this myth persists. #ONpoli

All week, we have discussed health-care system quality & reform. The prevailing message from global leaders: To change the health-care system, you must involve doctors. #ONpoli, walking away from #arbitration with @OntariosDoctors is not working. We need to do better.

Great reporting. My takes: (1) The legal argument by @fordnation is tenuous: It seems doubtful the arbitrator will agree that OMA can’t represent docs because 5% -10% of the highest paid specialists broke away to fight for personal wealth . . .
