@Twitch This is SO COOL! Can we have the option to let the whole chat see it and not just caster/mods? 👀
@CohhCarnage @Twitch Then make it so that the New chatter decides if it gets highlighted, can imagine that some wouldn't want to be highlighted in front of thousands of peole
@CohhCarnage @Twitch would be a good idea. especially when some start chatting and say "hi, i'm new here" ... but what about the 100 other chat messages you sent in the last 7 days... 🤔
@CohhCarnage @Twitch Would get a lil spammy with the size of the alert in bigger channels i think.
@CohhCarnage @Twitch Gotta say, this happened today on stream for me but it was one of the “wanna become famous” bots, and in that moment I was very thankful chat didn’t have the same very dramatic view of it that I did before we banned it 😂
@CohhCarnage @Twitch 3rd party tools like Chatterino or even non mod bots can see it. It's not a secret. Just not shown to every user on the website. Pretty cool because that information is very useful. Thanks Twitch
@CohhCarnage @Twitch Such a good idea! That way anyone from the community can also help make people feel welcome!
@CohhCarnage @Twitch Please don't. I wouldn't want the fact that I haven't chatted in a channel before be focused on
@CohhCarnage @Twitch Very interesting idea. But it feels like it undermines the whole idea of lurkers. We may pop up every once in a while. Maybe it's the first time we've said anything, but we saw a brief moment to engage in chat before we go back to lurking. Many of us do not want to be called out.
@CohhCarnage @Twitch As a lurker with nearly a decade of longevity - it is a cool feature but I definitely don't want that display for anyone except mods and streamers
