Our interactions with our kids should be influenced by the question, “What behavior or practice can he learn right now to help him as an adult?” Set rules, deadlines and apply natural consequences like the world does. Nagging and scolding are less effective. #strategynotfear

#raisingkidsalonesuccessfully The world sends the message that it is impossible for single parents to raise kids of color successfully. While for many of us this may not be how we envisioned doing it, we are still raising wonderful, responsible kids.
