@Luke_1311 @TraeWilson9 @slimyswampghost I can't say anything about observer, but calling layers of fear a " horror masterpiece" is my definition of complete insanity.
@horrorvisuals @Nibellion Not on the roadmap. Sorry
@TraeWilson9 @Luke_1311 @slimyswampghost As long as it isn't made by blooper team it may be good
@slimyswampghost It's kinda the game I'm making word for word, except there is combat and the setup is slightly different ( also it isn't retro graphics)
@OskSta How would one go and learn how to write a basic implementation of this on c#?
@blakeyrat @spiderwebsoft I think you are correct in this assessment. I suppose people should just get real and stop developing games altogheter. Not worth the risk.
@blakeyrat @spiderwebsoft In my case, making something like 10k gross after a year of release, as a solo dev, would suffice. I do live in south America so this money in dollars accounts for slot more than in the USA. To me it seems like a decent risk to try and undertake.
@blakeyrat @spiderwebsoft Not a profit, sorry, it's gross return.
@blakeyrat @spiderwebsoft According to a census on steam sales on 2020. 20% of all games on steam made a profit of between 10k and 50k. That's insanely high. To me it seems worth persuing provided your game isn't another pixel art or psx fps boringness
@IAMHOOSHMAND @ZerkCrator Alright, give two examples of both to justify this claim please.
@NinaStrohminger The real number is closer to 15-20k a year isn't?
@JgDoesThings My problem is that to get meaningful variety I could not just stay with a generic 1x1 grid. So we have multiple sizes (0.5m to 4m) that it has to place in two orientations ( following x and z). The system was built for corners to be automatically placed so there's the prob
@McFunkypants Absolutely yes. You're not a triple A team but you shouldn't design for a smaller scope than you think you need to realize your idea.(provided the idea is good)
@JgDoesThings I have something similar I've been working on, but I need to ask. Is the floor a completely procedurally generated mesh? Because obviously the fencing is a procedural mesh placement. My system is entirely a procedural mesh placement and I'm having trouble with floors
@leonsupremacist And I wouldn't have it any other way
@LastStarfarer Anxiety? This game looks awesome man, Jesus. I am anxious to play it
@ScienceChannel @adsk4 @NASA So what am I seeing in the video?
@jrhudepohl This is brilliant mate. Here's hoping your game sells alot. I want to see more games like this from you 😄
@Der_Kevin What engine are you using? I've built a similar system based around source 2 tileMesh system, yet it's editor only and fantastically unperformant, I wonder how you got your system to run so smoothly.
@Der_Kevin I would generate the meshes already as children of parent objects. To discern multiple rooms you could check the angle differences between the walls in succession starting from wall 0. any loop that goes back to a previous wall is a room
