The Allied Democratic Forces carried out an attack in the Rwenzori area that killed 19 civilians. congoconflict.com
Heavy fighting occurred in Fataki between the FARDC and the URDPC faction of CODECO between July 12th and 13th. The fighting resulted in URDPC fighters briefly seizing Fataki as well as the deaths of upwards of 14 combatants, including a FARDC colonel. congoconflict.com
Groups of civilians armed with machetes have taken to the Beni-Kasindi road with the intention of fighting against the ADF. This comes after a series of massacres that killed over 25 people the past few days. congoconflict.com
The Alliance of Patriots for a Free and Sovereign Congo (APCLS) ambushed a FARDC patrol in Nyabiondo. Three FARDC soldiers reportedly succumbed to their injuries following the ambush. Fighting in and around the locality has been intense since last week. congoconflict.com
Clashes have been reported between elements of the CNPSC Mai-Mai alliance and the Twirwaneho and AFP of Makanika. The clashes began after the Twirwaneho attacked CNPSC positions in Biziba. Four Twirwaneho elements reportedly were injured in the fighting congoconflict.com
The FARDC is reporting that they have driven the Nyatura Collective of Movements for Change (CMC) alliance out of the locality of Bukombo. According to sources, the locality was under the influence of armed groups for more or less 17 years. congoconflict.com

We can safely say that "Congo Map 2.0" is around 50% complete. In the meantime we have continued to update the current map. Upon the release of Congo Map 2.0, we will be focusing on updating the website itself, as well as adding new information.
We are currently in the process of developing what we refer to as "Congo Map 2.0". This map will include new information as well as a new format for groups displayed on the map. In the meantime, we will continue to update the current map until this project is complete.

Clashes between the FARDC and the Burundian National Liberation Forces were reported today. The FARDC claims to have dislodged the FNL from their main headquarters. congoconflict.com
Violent clashes between the CODECO faction known as the "Congo Liberation Army" or "Alliance for the Liberation of Congo" and the FARDC outside of Bunia concluded today. Around 20 CODECO-ALC fighters and four FARDC soldiers were reported killed. congoconflict.com

The Bakata Katanga separatist militia launched an attack on Lubumbashi today. After intense fighting, the attack was repelled. A reported 16 separatists, two police officers and a FARDC soldier were killed during the incident. congoconflictmap.weebly.com
