Last week's updates included some improvements in very low light and Cortex Camera is celebrating with a 66% off sale through this weekend! just in time for the holiday lights!
An update for Android is still in the works and I'm planning to include updated image processing in that as well.
I'm back to work on some new image processing stuff and I'm hoping to get that released in an update in the next few months. The amount of processing horsepower on newer phones is incredible making for lots of opportunity for improvements!
Cortex Cam 2.15 is out! It includes fixes for iPhone XS, large screen support, improved shutter sound, saved exposure settings, and a few other fixes and tweaks.
ViewTracker took waay longer than I hoped but I'm proud of the result. Stable head tracking with just a webcam was not easy. Now that it's out I'm planning to do a much needed update for Cortex Cam on Android. Also hope to have an update out for iOS by the end of the year.

Cortex Camera status: Developing all sorts of stuff and exploring some new directions. Not ready to talk about it yet but hopefully soon.
Also included with 2.12 are several raw improvements. Looking forward to improving this further with future updates.
Because of drawbacks with raw, version 2.12 (just approved!) adds the option to use video input like previous versions
Still really excited about improved image quality with raw input, but slow capture and shutter sound are unavoidable with current API
Re shutter sound, there is no way to capture raw data through the video API. Only way is to capture stills which triggers shutter sound.
Version 2.11 crash fix update was quickly approved and should now be available. Thank you to everyone who is giving feedback.
Major apologies for the bug in 2.1 causing crashes on some devices. An update has been submitted and I have requested an expedited review.

RAW capture is here! Just uploaded a new beta that takes advantage of a new feature in iOS 10 to access RAW data before any processing.
Interesting to read about Apple's GPU in recent iPhones. Particularly optimization of half-float format which Cortex Cam relies on.
