@CountVolpe It's so weird how some people are going "Well how do you KNOW it's AI?" When all it takes is looking at the horrendous lighting to know off the cuff. Every single piece of AI art has lighting that makes no sense technically and causes everything to appear almost waxy.
Making a movie is hard. Unbelievably hard. Hearing filmmakers talk about making them sounds like hell, but they absolutely love it. Unless you’re Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, or Christopher Nolan, you’re not getting creative freedom, creative marketing. none of it. Money is tight. Especially with A24 that said they have to make more mainstream bigger movies so they can start making profit. Maybe doing AI helped cut costs significantly. Back in the day before CGI it was legitimately matte paintings… paintings…. again before it was CGI it was paintings… AI is the future. To what extent Idk
@CountVolpe THEY FELL TO THE DARK SIDE
@CountVolpe gen ai is like a vampire it turns once bastions of artistry into something horrifying
@CountVolpe Genuinely how did anyone there approve of this, or let alone think it was a good idea??
@CountVolpe You’d think after we just had a months long strike studios would be a bit more wary about generative AI usage, but O guess not
