U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent Backs Senate Probe Option Treasury Secretary Bessent signaled openness to allowing the Senate Banking Committee — rather than the DOJ — to investigate Fed Chair Jerome Powell, according to lawmakers. The move is seen as a potential compromise aimed at persuading Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) to lift his hold on Fed nominees. One GOP lawmaker said: “The President wants an investigation.” Whether Tillis accepts the proposal remains uncertain.

🚨 Standard Chartered Cuts SOL Target 📉 Standard Chartered lowers Solana (SOL) 2026 year-end target 🔻 From $310 → $250, citing slower rollout of next killer app 🏦 Bank still bullish long term: 📈 $400 (2027) → $700 (2028) → $1,200 (2029) → $2,000 (2030) 🔁 Shift noted from meme-coin trading to stablecoin & micropayments, ⚡ driven by low fees and rising AI + payment use cases.

BTC Leverage Drops to Lowest Since Mid-December Bitcoin’s estimated leverage ratio has fallen to around 0.21, the lowest level since mid-December, signaling reduced risk appetite and lower reliance on leveraged positions. Historically, such levels suggest a more balanced market and a lower risk of large-scale liquidations amid recent price volatility.

Tether × Opera｜Stablecoin Adoption Update Tether announced a partnership with Opera to expand USDT and XAUT support in the Celo-based MiniPay wallet, targeting emerging markets including Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia to enhance USD-based payments and value storage.

🚨 Bitcoin ETFs See $978M Outflows • $5.4B withdrawn in 5 weeks • Institutions de-risking amid selloff • Liquidations spill into ETH & alts • Market likely entering consolidation ETF flows flipped — volatility stays elevated.

🚀 Bitcoin Breaks $76,000 Why BTC is ripping: • Clean break above $75K resistance • ETF inflows = steady institutional demand • Scarcity narrative + macro uncertainty • Supply tightening post-halving cycle 📊 Trend stays bullish as long as $75K holds. This rally is structural, not a squeeze.

📉 Why BTC, ETH & XRP Are Dumping Today • Hawkish Fed fears → rates higher for longer • Risk-off across stocks + crypto • ~$5B liquidations amplify the sell-off • ETH hit hardest → institutional loss fears 😨 Fear & Greed Index: 18 (Extreme Fear) Key level: BTC $77K — hold or more downside.

🏦 Trump to Nominate Kevin Warsh as Fed Chair — Reports • Odds jump to ~95% on Polymarket • Seen as more hawkish than Powell • Supports fiscal restraint, QE exit • Views Bitcoin as market discipline, not a threat USD up, yields rising — policy shift expectations are pricing in.

🥈 Silver $120 | 🥇 Gold $5,600 Why the surge: • Silver breaks $100 → new regime • Industrial demand + supply deficit • Inflation & geopolitics fuel safe-haven buying As long as $105–110 holds, trend stays bullish. This is macro + physical, not hype.

🎙️ Powell Speaks Today — Crypto Braces 📅 Key week for markets: • Powell speech (Jan 28) • Jobs data, PPI, shutdown risk 🪙 BTC: Below $92K = risk zone → Downside: $85K–$86K, worst case $75K ⚠️ ETH & alts under pressure • ETH capped below $3K • Altcoins losing key support 🧭 Market reaction hinges on tone: • Hawkish = sell-off • Dovish / rate-cut hints = relief bounce

🟨 Tether Becomes a Top-3 Global Gold Buyer 🏦 Added ~27 tons in Q4 2025 🥇 116 tons bought in 2025 — rivaling central banks 💰 Funded by USDT yield on T-bills 🔗 Why it matters: • Private firms now accumulate gold at sovereign scale • XAUT holds ~60% of gold-backed stablecoin market • 520k oz stored in Swiss vaults (1:1 backing) “Who’s the central bank now?” Money is quietly re-monetizing gold.

🟨 Bank of America: Gold → $6,000 🏦 BofA targets $6,000/oz by Spring 2026 📈 Based on historical bull cycles (~300% over ~43 months) ⚠️ Drivers: • Fiscal deficits • Declining mine supply • Gold as macro hedge If history rhymes, gold may still be mid-cycle, not the top.

🥈 If Gold Hits $6,000… 📊 Gold–Silver Ratio target → ~18 🧮 $6,000 ÷ 18 = $200+ Silver 🔍 Why it matters: • Silver already >$100 • Ratio finally compressing • Bull cycle may be early-stage Not a call — just shows how big the upside math gets.

It’s a real supply squeeze + forced buying setup.
