In this study, we have investigated the alterations caused by ablation of IF1 in the colon. We demonstrated that ablation of IF1 promotes mitochondrial and Ca2+ dysfunction, activates futile ATP hydrolysis and promotes an adenosine-mediated inflammation. nature.com/articles/s4141…

Indeed, treatment with a fatty acid assimilation or oxidation inhibitors in combination with the recently described OXPHOS inhibitor nebivolol (see nature.com/articles/s4146…) significantly extended the lifespan of mice bearing lung adenocarcinomas (4/5)
