The People's Law School held its first class on August 16, 2025, at the Cullman County Courthouse. The program is designed to teach individuals with no legal background about basic court procedures and explain how a case proceeds through the judicial system.

The Cullman County Commission held an Emergency Meeting today and approved a resolution to close the Courthouse tomorrow, Friday January 7, 2022, due to the threat of winter storm conditions. Therefore, any court proceeding set for tomorrow is canceled and will be reset.

Due to hazardous driving conditions expected tomorrow, all court proceedings in the Circuit and District Courts will be delayed until at least 11:00 AM on 1/06/22. Whether court proceedings will be cancelled entirely will depend on morning temperatures so check back for updates.
