Brian Cox says Joaquin Phoenix was 'terrible' in #Napoleon "A truly terrible performance by Joaquin Phoenix. It really is appalling. I don’t know what he was thinking. I think it’s totally his fault ... I would have played it a lot better"
“I think he’s well named. Joaquin…whackeen... whacky. It’s a sort of whacky performance" standard.co.uk/news/londoners…
@CultureCrave Joaquin read his comments like…
@CultureCrave Surprised because he was amazing as Commodus in Gladiator
@CultureCrave In an alternate universe we got a Brian Cox as Napoleon on Elba dying, remembering the past, going back and forth between present decay and past glory in memory, director of course by Christopher Nolan. We do not live in such a blessed timeline.
@CultureCrave Might as well have had a 77 year old Brian Cox play Napoleon in his 20's. It couldn't have made the movie any worse.
@CultureCrave Telling yourself that you are better then others 🤭. Late us decide who is better and when … 🤫.
@CultureCrave Of course he would played it better(25 years ago)
@CultureCrave Agreed! Brian is one of the most underrated actors in the game.
