Unfortunately there will always be an asterisk on this since they never would've allowed a 4 hour cut to go to theatres, therefore it's not the version we would've gotten if Snyder finished it originally. That's not Snyder's fault, it's just the reality of theatrical releases.

@CurtTalksTV Comparisons between the theatrical release we received & the 4hr Snyder Cut that (justifiably but also, low-bar?) say the Snyder cut is better. I'm genuinely curious whether anyone thinks Snyder could have delivered something good at an approx 2-2.5hr runtime.
@paulj_oak I don't even bother to compare the 2 versions we did get. It's apples and oranges to me. The Snyder Cut was him getting to overindulge with no theatrical restrictions and an extra $70m. Could he have made it theatre-ready and just as good? I agree - unlikely.
@CurtTalksTV Agree with all that. WB needed to give Snyder more films to work with I think that might have given us a more digestible version of Snyder's vision.
