@reasonandlogic which is a little private for Twitter. I'm 100% certain it would be an insufficient explanation.
@reasonandlogic No, actually. But I'm glad you asked. I'm a convert from athiesm. If I were to tell you about my religious experience...
@reasonandlogic evidence to offer. Which is why faith is different than knowledge.
@reasonandlogic You might as well be asking me why I believe there is a God. Which is an impossible question to answer. I have no empirical
@reasonandlogic You asked if we owe anything to those we have "sinned against" the answer is yes.
@reasonandlogic If you don't square yourself with your fellow man, you spend time in purgatory. Which is no picnic, just not eternal.
@reasonandlogic YES! Actually, this is a matter of Catholic doctrine. Squaring yourself with God relieves you of hell. However.....
@MWR_OKC to sin, even mildly, is a rejection of Gods love, with full knowledge reform is impossible, since no new information will change
@MWR_OKC God asks for faith not knowledge, for if we had knowledge, there is no salvation, rejecting God would come with full culpability.
@MWR_OKC work that the Gospel prescribes, without faith, it matters not. If you know God exists and do no good, then you fall as Satan did.
@MWR_OKC Pascal's wager is flawed because it implies that you can choose to believe something even when you don't. You can do every good
@MWR_OKC So I hope that it's all true. I have faith that it is true. I will know if it's true when I die.
@MWR_OKC Faith is to have hope. Knowledge is part of the Beatific Vision, which we all hope for. I have faith the God delivers on his word.
@MWR_OKC Actually I'm a devout Catholic. To demand knowledge from God is the same mocking Christ on the Cross asking him to save himself.
@reasonandlogic @MWR_OKC I don't "believe in" evolution. I observe and accept evolution.
@reasonandlogic @MWR_OKC You don't have faith in things you know. I don't have faith that the earth is round, I know it is.
@reasonandlogic @MWR_OKC: Consider that he isn't making the argument that he KNOWS the Bible to be true. He has faith that it is true.
@reasonandlogic why would you want everyone to be equal?
@reasonandlogic Equal rights for all is an absolutist statement of justice. If you have the chance of taking all rights, and giving none,
