@stoolpresidente Dave, respect for your fervent fandom, but have you ever had a more brutal 80 hours? Michigan stunned 20-19 by Iowa. Pats bitch-slapped by Jags 35-6. Sox taken out behind the woodshed by the Yankees 9-0. I’m guessing you need a beer or a hug, or both! #barstool

Tonight, a generation of Mets fans will experience something for the first time that haunted generations before them. Pete Alonso’s return to Queens represents a level of tone-deafness toward this fanbase we haven’t seen in decades, since debacles like the Mets running Tom Seaver out of town in 1977. Give Pete a standing ovation every single at-bat this series. And if David Stearns or Steve Cohen dare to show up, let them hear it.

@stoolpresidente @MACSports One cannot even begin to contemplate the seismic rant Dave Portnoy would have spewed if the exact same circumstances played out, only it was Western Michigan who got the phantom second put back on the clock, and then threw the game-winning Hail Mary. Even Dave must admit this.

Had the good fortune to meet Dolly back when I was an NBC Page and she was the host for Saturday Night Live. I told her my Dad was a born and raised Tennessean from Shelbyville… she excitedly replied with her signature big smile and Southern twang: “I know Shelbyville!” #Dolly

@jerryferrara It’s a poster now, but if Knicks win the title, it’s a freaking statue! Outside the Garden! Start interviewing sculptors now! #Knicks #OG

@NBA This isn’t just a poster… if the Knicks go on to win their first title in 53 years, it has to be a statue! A statue of OG Anunoby right outside Madison Square Garden!!! #Knicks #OG #OGAnunoby #NBAFinals

@ShamsCharania @malika_andrews The NBA’s stated reasoning for not upgrading it to a flagrant makes no sense: The NBA says they don’t have enough conclusive evidence, but they have access to the same videos with all the angles that the game officials would have used, & they would have unquestionably ruled it F1

@espn This NBA exec says this obvious flagrant foul by Wemby is “on the demarcation line?” Tells you all you need to know. The league will not be retroactively giving Wemby his third flagrant of the playoffs, when a fourth would mean an automatic suspension. #Knicks

@JimmySpencer youtube.com/shorts/yOElQXm… They have not enforced traveling in the NBA in decades. The refs could literally call it on almost every play. “Euro step” is now code for traveling Check out this clip of Giannis taking about 6-7 steps on a drive to the basket. Not called.

@RealSkipBayless Skip— yes, you were born and raised in OKC, but you were still calling the Spurs “My San Antonio Spurs!” in 2014 when they won their last championship. The Thunder have been playing in Oklahoma City since 2008. You only switched allegiances once the Thunder got good.

Random question: Anybody thinking about bringing in a psychic to try and help in the search for Nancy Guthrie? Seems like back in the day there were examples of success when a psychic got involved. #nancygutherie

@tracegallagher I’ve been saying from the beginning the fact the sheriff has waffled on exactly whom brought Nancy back to her house would seem to indicate Annie & Tommaso have not been truthful. Could Annie have also lied to police about if Tommaso was home @ 2am? #NancyGuthrie

@IngrahamAngle @FoxNews @tracegallagher The fact Pima County sheriff has bounced back-and-forth between saying Nancy was dropped off by Annie, then saying it was Tommaso, then pivoting to ‘a family member,’ leads me to believe Annie & Tommaso may have given misleading statements. Otherwise, why wouldn’t this be known?
