What a quote from CofC AD Matt Roberts. In part... "If they sit in that room and hear that speech from those 2 coaches and that's not good enough for them, get out of here. Get out of here, go somewhere else. If money is your motivator, you are not wanted at CofC. That is a direct message to those student athletes"

No details available on numbers yet, but source says Siddle signed his new deal this morning. University leadership prioritizing MBB as an asset to the school + community of Wilmington. "Resources will be provided to compete."

Trask Coliseum should be on FIRE tonight as UNC Wilmington hosts Charleston. Seahawks can clinch the CAA regular season title with a victory. Aiming for back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances under Takayo Siddle.

Takayo Siddle and UNCW have won 124 games over the last five seasons, the 10th most in the country during that span. They just won at least a share of the CAA regular season title and will be looking to make their second consecutive NCAA tournament.

UNCW is reaching out to recent grads, offering a free ticket in the student section for Sunday vs. Charleston. With spring break starting that weekend, will definitely be missing some students, but a very cool way to try to create a true Trask atmosphere for Senor Night.

24-0 runs are more fun, IMO. Hell of an effort from the Seahawks so far in the second half. No resemblance to the team we saw earlier.

As the discussion over the bases-loaded play in the bottom of the ninth in Game 7 continues, one thing I haven’t seen pointed out: Blue Jays third-base coach Carlos Febles marked the exact spot where he wanted Isiah Kiner-Falefa to lead off. There are so many elements to this one play. Should he have taken another step? He was told not to, a point reinforced by other players, who have rightly pointed out that the fear of getting doubled off prompts coaches to keep runners close to the bag. Should he have run through home? Maybe, but it’s damn near impossible, with the speed of the game, to know where the throw is taking the catcher, and sliding is the standard practice. Regardless, it’s illustrative of how many decisions go into a single play — and illustrates the nuances of the game that so often go unseen.
