As a man, when you cross 30, pause and study the men in your family. Look at your father, his brothers, your uncles, and older cousins. What repeatedly brought them down? Was it alcohol? Women? Gambling? Anger? Pride? Financial recklessness? Fathering children they could not raise? Violence? Addiction? Spiritual compromise? Don't focus on isolated mistakes. Look for patterns. What destroys one man may be an accident. What destroys generation after generation is a cycle. The Bible gives us a powerful example in Samson. He was anointed, gifted, and called by God, yet he repeatedly ignored his weakness. His attraction to the wrong women became the doorway to his downfall. The Philistines did not defeat Samson because they were stronger; they defeated him through the very pattern he refused to confront. His greatest enemy was not outside him—it was within him. See . Many men pray for greatness while refusing to identify what can destroy them. As often teaches, one of the greatest keys to fulfilling your destiny is knowing what can bring you down. You may not choose your family tree, but you can choose what continues through it. Be the man who ends the cycle. Be the man who changes the story. Be the man your children will point to as the turning point. Your fathers carried battles they did not fully understand. You have knowledge, wisdom, and resources they never had. Honor those who come after you. Break the pattern. Build differently. Leave a better inheritance. Rewrite the story. Become the gold your family has been waiting for.

Today my car key broke at ABC Parking. I googled and found a company that repairs car keys and they come to where you are in minutes and do the work right next to you. It was a Gen Z who showed up and sorted me out all within 30 minutes. We are the ones failing these young people as a Country. They are ready to take off!
