Dotcom bubble popped because internet speeds were too slow. AI speeds are probably slower now then dial up internet connections were in the 90s. It takes minutes to get a response out of GPT5 sometimes.

Excel was probably more groundbreaking in the 80s to productivity then LLMs are. AI bubble needs to deflate a little. Electrical grid and water systems aren't going to keep up with the demand just like the network speeds couldn't keep up with .Com boom in the 90s.
