The moon! 🌕 Get a load of this sweet little one’s excitement as she spots the full moon while out on a walk with Mom. As a parent you might have heard tales about how the full moon influences children’s behavior - and I’ve known teachers who swear that it’s true - but the literature, including an international study of nearly 6,000 children conducted by the Eastern Ontario Research Institute, simply doesn’t bear this out. Indeed, researchers identified only one behavior that was even slightly modified by the full moon: Participants slept five fewer minutes on nights when the moon was full. Yawn. As Adam and Jamie used to say: Myth Busted. What say you? Have you noticed changes in your child’s moods/behaviors - or your own - during the full moon? @DanWuori Myth busted? The. FULL MOON. Makes. Children. Insane. The End 🤣 but really between that and storm wind, this has been a tricky time in school. Home is home. I see it in class. Even quiet children are loopy. There's a reason werewolf tales exist! 😆
@DanWuori The full moon makes my children ten times more likely to shout “Moon!” from the backseat and startle me while I’m driving.
@DanWuori This reminds me of a funny story from when my (now teenage) daughter was three years old... Her: The moon isn't a crescent shape tonight. ☹️ Me: You're right. That's called a full moon! Her: (in a sarcastic tone) It's *called* a circle.
@DanWuori She’s gorgeous and her reaction is wonderful.
@DanWuori One of the best parts of becoming a father is seeing the world through my daughter’s eyes. She’s 6 months now and already notices and fixates on things I overlook.
