Did you know 111,111,111² = 12,345,678,987,654,321? I tested this massive 17-digit perfect square against the One-Power Conjecture (Erdős Problem #11). For a=1: 12,345,678,987,654,321 - 2 = 12,345,678,987,654,319 I checked for square factors, and the remainder is squarefree!
@mathandcobb This is crucial advice. A bad advisor can destroy your mental health and your love for the math. The research is important, but the human being doing the research matters more.
@BrookeaJoseph Love this energy. I'm an independent researcher working in analytic number theory. I can't join in person in SF, but building strong math communities is what the field needs. If you expand this to a virtual or global group for unaffiliated researchers, count me in.
@cyrnosofia This is fascinating. Since Jankov's formula is tied to the finite model property as you mentioned, does this encoding extend to infinite Heyting algebras, or does the method fundamentally break down outside the finite case?
@cyrnosofia ankov's encoding is beautiful. It's fascinating how a single propositional formula can perfectly capture the structure of a finite Heyting algebra.
