@DannyDeraney The government ended its own red lining policy in 1968. Up to that time the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) self-defined goal was segregation, as detailed in its own manuals of operation until that time.
And I think as most people know, Carly's father Richard Simon is the co founder of Simon and Schuster. If not, now you know! (Carly is on the left of her brother Peter)
