Update: Wisconsin Rapids' council voted 7–0 on Oct. 20 to deny PNK Group's permit for a 150 MW data center at the former paper mill, according to local news reports (WAOW). Per the Daily Tribune, PNK could reapply only after the city's moratorium ends, under any new rules.
282-acre Google data center campus gets final site plan approval in Van Buren Twp., Mich. (4 mi west of Detroit Metro Airport, per Michigan Public). Planning Commission vote: 5–1, Oct. 14 (Case 25-041). The site was already zoned industrial. Building permits come separately.
@VNDNews Next step: supervisors hold a public hearing Oct. 22 at 6 p.m., then a special meeting to consider Ordinance No. 1 of 2026, which makes data centers a conditional use in the I-Industrial District. The moratorium ends Nov. 2.

@TheBizJournal Per the 7–0 opinion (2026-Ohio-4073), Bristolville 25 Developer had only started Lordstown's four-step site plan review, not finished the steps to apply for a zoning permit. The village's moratorium now runs through the end of 2026.

Contracted: at the standard large load interconnection agreement, security is the greater of $50,000 per MW of contracted demand or allocated upgrade costs. Energized: 20% of the remaining security comes back at energization, the rest in 20% steps tied to billing milestones.
