Instead of seeing it as a method, I think we benefit more from seeing it as a philosophy/mindset -

@DaveWThoughts @thewilliamwade @jonnypwilson @OakHillLondon @Greenfarmhouse @UnionTheology As John Stott put it, it is where the Bible is boss. So it is about authorial intent, but also involves effective communication, deep relevance and real dependence on God. A lot of what is called EP is a pale imitation of it. A verse by verse commentary is miles from true EP.

@algooderham I remember hearing someone some years back saying move to a town where there’s a good church - it grated w/ me then & still does, partly b/c so much of the N of England doesn’t have that luxury. Well done & keep up the good work.

Another touch of class by @steve_kneale. A "top down" approach to the spread of the gospel is unbiblical and we must expose the excuses for failing to address our deficiencies.
