Reminder that you don't have to turn whatever you do as your day job into a "social media content" gig. You can just be a farmer, teacher, doctor, or lawyer without trying to become a social media sensation off it.
Everybody is trying to be a celebrity
We already have Aproko Doctor. Go and clean your stethoscope in peace. We already have like 50 celebrity lawyers. We don't need another one. We already have 1,000 problematic-take-machine tech bros. Why are you trying to be 1,001?
@DavidHundeyin Very accurate!. I laugh when people question my profession because I’m not posting content related to it . Unfortunately social media allows pompous blow-hards to connect with other pompous blow-hards in a vast circle-jerk of pomposity.😂
I only get irritated when people try to model their content after someone else. Like a fake VDM, fake Davido etc. I’m a fan of professionals creating a niche for themselves online. We can have 5 thousand doctors online preaching healthy living, everyone would have their audience. It would only become irritating to have another try to use similar phrases like “Drink water” or “Don’t open the fridge at night”.
@DavidHundeyin Me kicking that aproko 'doc'band taking him to rehab
@DavidHundeyin can't even be a celebrity drug dealer cause someone else already took the Job
The need to be seen, heard, talked about, and celebrated has made so many become ambitious. This often comes from a place of envy, jealousy, or pure admiration. It has become a case of “What God cannot do, doesn't exist”. If he could do it for Mummy Zee, and others, mine too must enter! 🤣🤣🤣.
@DavidHundeyin The sky is too big for everyone.
