@BBCLondonNews – This is scary, I've just seen an item where a man removes a modern simulated-filament LED bulb and replaces it with an obsolete opal LED bulb claiming that the replacement will save electricity. He seems to think that the bulb he removed is an old 60W item. Wrong

@DrMichaelMosley – how can anyone BEGIN to believe or trust a purported 'expert' who invents a non-existent word – ee-centric – to use in place of the reasonably common and properly spelled "eccentric"? See the OED for pronunciations.

@BBCNews – Why have people on the BBC – who really ought to know better – started to use the non-existent word "geneology" when they mean "genealogy". Surely we pay enough to fund the BBC for them to use English accurately? Our children deserve better. #Genealogy

@MichaelRosenYes – I love a good metaphor but detest one wrongly used. "The proof is in the pudding" is almost without meaning. "The proof of the pudding is in the EATING" is nearly perfect. How could you possibly use the former when meaning the latter?

@GeoffreyHelp – I am an existing motor policy customer looking for a quote for an additional car. Website recommends online application (phonelines busy) but does not offer a page to request a quote. This is nonsense, what do you advise?

@BBCRadio4 #youandyours – all-digital home phones are fine provided that mains electrical power is not required to make them work. Phone services have evolved to be extremely reliable, mains power less so.
