Update~@mcfrs members of Maryland Task Force 1 (MDTF-1) Urban Search & Rescue (US&R) have been recalled while deploying south to the Carolinas and are have now returned to Montgomery County MD. Crews are unloading equipment and personnel are preparing to return to their homes.

Maryland Task Force 1 (MDTF-1) has been activated for a Type III @fema US&R (Urban Search &. Rescue) deployment. This is a 45 member team from @mcfrs and partnering agencies. MD-TF1 is expected to deploy this morning. @mcfrsPIO

Today @216pm, @mcfrs was dispatched for a vehicle fire near a home in the 2300blk Twin Valley Ln(Aspen Hill). Crews extinguished a vehicle fire with no injuries. Hazmat resources contacted for fuel leak from the vehicle fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Today @2pm, @mcfrs was dispatched to 8600blk of Wild Olive Dr(Potomac) for a house fire. Crews found smoke in the basement and a charred inside elec meter/no fire extension. Two adults evaluated for smoke/declined transport. Family of 2 adults displaced. @mcfrsPIO

Earlier today @1124AM, @mcfrs crews were dispatched to Decatur Ave/Connecticut Ave for a collison w/entrapment. Crews located a 2 car collision and transported 2 adults and 1 pediatric with non life threatening injuries to local area hospitals. @mcfrsPIO
