I am gonna put it out there that I do not believe/don't care about the Bob McGinn reporting on AD Mitchell "character concerns" I don't think you start & produce for a multi-time national champion if your coaches don't like you
Yes you absolutely do. These coaches care about winning. There have been bad guys and assholes in sports — and all professionals — who survive on ability from time immemorial. I have no idea if he’s one of those guys, but saying “Well he started for this awesome team” is not proof he’s not.
@DavisMattek I disagree. It's basically the football version of Barney Stinson's Crazy/Hot scale. As long as a player is above the Mendoza line they're going to play. Has nothing to do with a coach and how many title's they've won or not won.
@DavisMattek Ryan Leaf led the most successful Washington State team of all time.
@DavisMattek The Bad Boy of Diabetes has a ring to it
@DavisMattek As someone who also gets hangry, this sounds completely reasonable.
@DavisMattek blaming mood or character concerns on his type 1 diabetes is discrimination btw
@DavisMattek he's also a kid struggling with a disease, lot different than someone wanting to party all the time or not working hard
@DavisMattek This kid has a unmanaged chronic illness, often because of poor access to medicine, and will immediately have access to essentially free, world class healthcare. Behavioral changes and abrasiveness come with poor blood sugar management. That will be a non-issue now.
@DavisMattek Even more impressive if his coaches hated him and just had to play him bc he's so good
@DavisMattek This isn't new. His character concerns are well documented.
