Since then, all they have had to offer the world is neocolonialism, uncritical vassalage to the United States, and now face being an afterthought and an irrelevance. Instead of recognising a new world exists where neocolonialism will not be tolerated, and prioritising economic rejuvenation via engagement with the rising powers of the 21st Century… Europe instead decides to invest its remaining and dwindling fortunes into the military-industrial complex to fight a war against Russia which none of their populations are remotely interested in…while the rest of the civilised world invests in trade and development. Europe had a last chance to look to the future, and instead violently jerked their heads 180 degrees back to the past.

I'm on a plane to Ireland tonight. Tomorrow a man goes on trial for a tweet. I'm writing this from the airport. In a few hours I'll be in the air, and tomorrow morning I'll be sitting in the public gallery of Bray District Court, south of Dublin, for the trial of Kirk Loco. You may remember Kirk. He's an ordinary Irishman. Two years ago someone in that group posted a warning: a migrant man had exposed himself on a public bus, in front of a 14-year-old girl. The bus driver stopped the bus. There were half a dozen witnesses. It was on CCTV. Kirk did what any of us would do. He reposted the warning so other parents would know. The migrant wasn't charged. Kirk was. The Irish police charged him under a so-called "fake news" law, Section 12A of the Criminal Justice Act, 1976. It was passed during the Troubles to fight terrorist propaganda. It had never been used against anyone, in fifty years, until they used it on Kirk. He is the first and only person in Irish history to be prosecuted under it. They picked him because of his politics: he's a critic of mass immigration. They are making an example of him. Here's what has happened since. Kirk has been dragged into that courtroom in Bray again and again, almost ten times, for a single retweet. Each time he takes a day off, each time his lawyers prepare, each time the Gardaí (that's what the Irish call their police) turn up and the thing gets put off again. I've flown over for one of those hearings myself. In May the judge lifted an outrageous bail condition that had banned Kirk from attending any protest, anywhere in Ireland. That was a real win. But the same judge refused to order the police to hand over the bus CCTV or the names of the witnesses. The people who saw what happened on that bus could clear him in five minutes, and the state won't tell his lawyers who they are. Kirk said it best himself: "I just can't believe that I'm eight court appearances in for a retweet." That was in May. There have been more since. The process is the punishment. Even if Kirk wins tomorrow, he's already been punished for two years: the stress, the lost days, the cloud over his name, the ban on protesting. That's the point. It's not really about convicting Kirk. It's about making sure every other Irish person who sees something on a bus thinks twice before saying a word. Tomorrow is finally the trial itself. A full day. Kirk's barrister, Laoise de Brún, and his solicitor, Padraig Langsch, will fight it in open court. They are principled lawyers who refused to do what Irish legal aid lawyers do, which is tell you to plead guilty, pay the fine and go home. Kirk won't plead guilty to telling the truth. And then I'm staying on. Because four days later, on Tuesday, the same two lawyers are back in court in Wexford, for Hugh Fagan. Hugh is the man I wrote to you about this week: he sits quietly on a bench in his town square with homemade signs, wearing headphones, and for that he's charged with a public order offence. Same country, same pattern, same week. One man for a tweet, one man for cardboard. I'm going alone this time, no videographer, economy flight, cheap hotel, to keep the costs down. I'll live-tweet from inside both courtrooms (I'll be the only journalist there; RTÉ never shows up) and I'll film my own reports outside on the courthouse steps and send them to you the same day. Ireland's "fake news" law had never been used on anyone until Kirk Loco. If they get a conviction, it becomes the template. That's why this one trial matters far beyond one man. Kirk's trial is Friday, October 23 in Bray. Hugh Fagan's is Tuesday, October 27 in Wexford. One trip, two trials. REPORT by @ezralevant:

⚡️ Statement by the Embassy of Russia in Ireland (October 23, 2026) The much-publicised discussion in Ireland of the issues with the “Triple Lock” legislation and Irish neutrality includes continuing references to Russia made by the leaders of the Irish government, which contain unfounded allegations, as well as misrepresentation of the way the UN Peacekeeping mechanism works. In the course of the debate in the Dáil on October 21, Helen McEntee, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Defence, strongly objected to the current “Triple Lock” legislation on the grounds that it presumably allows Russia, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, “to have a say over which peacekeeping missions we can send our troops to”, or even to veto Irish participation in such missions, and that ostensibly does not sit well with the Minister who believes that Russia is “attacking European member-states, including Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland”. We strongly believe that any decisions on the matters of neutrality or any other policy matters are sovereign issues to be discussed and decided solely by the Irish government and the Irish people. At the same time, it is obvious that such decisions – whatever they are – should not be made under false assumptions, which is exactly the case with the Minister’s statements. Contrary to her assertions, the UN Security Council does not vote on what countries take part in a peacekeeping mission – its composition is agreed in the course of multilateral consultations conducted by the UN Secretariat and the interested UN member-countries. Also, there is no known record of Russia being against Ireland’s participation in any UN peacekeeping mission. Consequently, the allegations by Minister McEntee are reprehensible and misleading, grossly distorting the substance and the meaning of procedures provided by the UN Charter. ❗️In the same manner, the Minister’s speculations over Russia’s “attacks” on the EU countries are totally baseless, dangerously provocative and unacceptable. This kind of rhetoric is unthinkable for any responsible member of a government. It is regrettable that the Irish government has chosen to deliberately question the workings of the UN – despite its much-advertised commitment to the central role of the UN in the international order – with the aim to promote domestic policy agenda. It is also incumbent upon Irish leadership to realise that exercises in Russophobia cannot make up for a serious failure in its approach to relations with Russia and issues of peace and stability in Europe.

In 2022 a shockingly empty chamber of the House of Commons for my debate. It was the Worlds first parliamentary debate on ‘Excess Deaths’ following the Covid ‘vaccine’ rollout. Something which affected every community and every constituency in the country, but your ‘elected representatives’ were not interested. But the BBC were interested and added their own subtitles/captions ( displayed in the images) to the live broadcast. I subsequently had a complaint to OFCom against the BBC upheld. The BBC said they added their own subtitles/captions to give ‘context’ to my speech. The BBC have never done this before or since to any speech by an MP in the House of Commons. It was clearly preplanned and the subtitles/captions were mostly unrelated to what I was saying. Following this outrageous behaviour by the BBC I cancelled my TV licence and gave away my televisions. Now they want all of us to pay the BBC tax again through a tax on our internet access.

This is end-stage post-war liberalism where all that is natural is destroyed. This ad has it all, dehumanisation of the Irish and their customs of showing affection to family, an unnatural mixed-race family and all delivered to you by a collection of progressive foundations and a government quango created purely to police the thoughts in your head. Orwell couldn't write this poetry. A level of familiarity with source material is needed. Shitlibs literally see nothing wrong with this because they are dehumanised.

The vast majority of people want Ireland to maintain our proud tradition of peacekeeping. Reforming the triple lock ensures our decisions on participation in peacekeeping missions are not dictated by a veto from Russia, China, or the United States.
