It’s a NFL Sunday so here’s a proposed trade to benefit both teams: Chiefs trade Harrison Butker, aka Butt/Kicker & a 2026 4th round pick to Atlanta for WR Drake London. Falcons desperately need an elite K & Butker is that. Brett Veach? Your move.

I’m struck & gladdened by the close relationship between PM Starmer & PrezT. When Starmer commented on the long way both nations have come since 1776, I thought who the enemy was for the fledgling USA nation at & before that time. Time can change attitudes & hearts. Bravo UK &USA

KCChiefs: In trouble, now 0-2. GM Veach has to add a RB in his prime from somewhere, preferably on an active roster who can average 4.5 yards per carry & blast 1 for a 4th down. Current RB stable aren’t up to this. We know that. Does GM & Andy know this? If not, long gone year.

Re: Cracker Barrel’s folly. I’m unable to physically exercise so must eat carefully to not gain unwanted weight. “ I’ll have egg beaters, turkey saugage & sourdough muffins with low fat butter please”. Waitress: “We don’t serve any of those any longer”. I knew then CB changed.

To fellow KC Chiefs fans: Been a fan since 1963 when they moved from Dallas. Reality: Hard pressed to make playoffs in 2025. You know why. Let it go. 2026 draft will be crucial on hit players, then a resurgence. Pat makes a tremendous difference but not this year.

Cannot ignore the hot NFL topic of the day on Parsons being traded to the Pack, so I’ll weigh in on that. Q: In their prime ( where Parsons is now) is he a better Edge rusher than— Von Miller? Derrick Thomas? Lawrence Taylor? No. He’s very good but not in that same class.

Overall, the major news media has gotten boring, re-running the big story repeatedly with sidebars galore. Yes the MN shooting was tragic but beating the story into the ground? Kudos to Finnerty on Newsmax last night who detailed & called out all the Trans killers. Fresh approach

I’m 82, lost my filter & will say I’m going to thoroughly enjoy the next 3 years of PrezTrump’s presidency. Why? I genuinely think we’ll never see his equal or type in the White House ever again. Who’s next? I’ll likely be too damned old to care.

This current Cracker Barrel re-branding reminds me of the Coke/New Coke issue from the mid 80s. New Coke replaced old Coke & sales took a nosedive. Then Coke re-introduced old , now Classic Coke which worked. Will there be a Classic Cracker Barrel in our future? Maybe so…
