I am sponsoring HB0129, known as the Defend the Guard Bill. This crucial legislation aims to protect our TN National Guard members by ensuring they are not sent into federal active duty combat without a formal declaration of war by Congress or an explicit constitutional call.
MT’s Defend the Guard bill was killed in the ETFR committee Friday night. All R’s voted for it except for Chair Parry. Parry voted with all the D’s to kill HB 404 and keep sending our NG to war. He has not approached me about it. Maybe call him and ask why. 406-749-0545
