Asked Drew Doughty about narrative that LAK 1-3-1 system is bad for hockey: "Pretty absurd comments. But... when we brought the system ...I wasn't too keen on playing it, to be honest with you. But as we've continued to play it seeing how successful it is and how frustrating it is for other teams...And I think a lot of these people are just saying it out of frustration, because it's working."
@DennisTFP Bad for the game, bad for the fans and bad for ratings.
@DennisTFP @TheFourthPeriod It’s horrible for hockey
@DennisTFP It’s not different than when Bowman put in the LW lock. All teams are utilizing strategies to slow opponents down. It’s nothing new and teams should be used to others teams strategizing.
@DennisTFP There was a reason people used the phrase "Dead Puck Era" to describe the years more teams used the 1-3-1 trap system.
@DennisTFP It’s a great defensive structure to slow teams down through the neutral zone.
@DennisTFP @risingaction What happens when a team doesn’t attack their 1-3-1? Remember Philadelphia and Tampa Bay?
@DennisTFP @risingaction We all know he would be whining and complaining if he had to go against a team playing that way
