Bourbon bottle prices can often be surprising & confounding - On a recent trip, I spotted this bottle of I.W. Harper 15 for sale at a Total Wines in Rochester, MI for 72 bucks. EASILY, the best price I’ve seen for that bottle and I have no clue why. 🤷🏼♂️ 🥃

I recently was hosting a tasting event at a well-known KY restaurant and while chatting with the staff, I casually asked about resident ghost (as one does) and then a bottle of wine crashed to the ground and I was blamed me for invoking the name of the ghost and what is my life.
Late April is the time Trigger loves traveling through Kentucky! My most excellent equine companion poses here next to the iconic "But Always Fine Bourbon" sign @BuffaloTrace Distillery. (Trigger agrees.)
Weekends are for quality drawing sessions with my 7 year old daughter. We have a blast even if my artistic skills aren’t top tier. This one started out as a cat, but was failing so he became Señor Hop! Creativity! No judgment zones! My daughter pinned it on her wall! A big win.

Anyone spotted THIS bottle on store shelves? Woodford Reserve released their rarest bottle of whiskey that is thrice barreled with a sticker price of nearly $15,000. Only 150 of these bad boys were made, and one is reserved for the jockey who wins this year's Derby.
I think the three words I’ve come to despise more than anything else over last few years is “Fly Over Country.” It is just such a dismissive & insulting way to look at millions of people living in scores of amazing cities and town. Ugh.

Bourbon bottle prices can often be surprising & confounding - On a recent trip, I spotted this bottle of I.W. Harper 15 for sale at a Total Wines in Rochester, MI for 72 bucks. EASILY, the best price I’ve seen for that bottle and I have no clue why. 🤷🏼♂️ 🥃

@DerbyCityPhil as a relative novice to whiskey shopping I felt good about the point when I had some grasp on typical pricing and how much it could vary store to store. When a store had regular Buffalo Trace for $100 and Rare Breed Rye for $56 I could get a chuckle and a bargain.
