The par three 8th is not the only great hole @MGCC1925 incorporating the quarry. Defending the right half of the landing zone and the players' vision on the approach, a deep chasm and rock outcroppings at the par four 16th are fiercely intimidating.

Here is a chaser of US Open-adjacent content for your Monday. A few weeks ago I had the privilege of playing my 5000th unique hole @ChambersBayGolf. The course presented beautifully firm in warm, breezy conditions. With pins cut on some sharp terraces Chambers was a stern test.

It has been 13 years since my last visit to NC State’s @LPGCncstate. I definitely will not be waiting that long again. The superintendent and staff at this fantastic golf facility do a tremendous job.
