When adjusting levels on a dark photo with bright points of light, use the Select>Color Range function to exclude white for less hot spots.

Check "simulate black ink" in Acrobat to check that black in your PDF document will print correctly. Go to Print Production>Output Preview.

If you're overlaying two black elements, make sure your blacks match. Just because they appear the same doesn't mean they'll print that way.

There are different blacks for print. Use flat black (C0 M0 Y0 K100) for copy text & a saturated one (ex: C70 M50 Y30 K100) for large areas.

The "blue" that you see on-screen might not print the same shade. Design in CMYK to see a more accurate representation of the print result.
