@therogcast The people who wrote this up are morons. If tigers just took Bryce Harper’s contract we could have him for next to nothing.

@Lynn_Henning @john_slotkin You go for it when you can. One thing dave is great at is acquiring big league talent. Prospects can hit or they can miss. I don’t think any Detroit fan has any regrets about trading prospects when we were going for it in the 2010s. Probably time for Phillies to rebuild now.

@SleeperPistons Trading Chauncey, the heart and soul of the team, coming off 6 straight ECFs, right after signing Rip to an extension, only to sign Ben Gordon and Charlie V and give the keys to the team to Rodney Stuckey. We haven’t been to an ECF since.

@dan_wy_15 Boras said 4/75. Harris never refuted it. Skubal said he paid for it

@riger1984 Tigers twitter in a nutshell: Get mad at a player for taking an espresso machine that he paid for. Defend owner and GM that offered an insulting 4yr/75M contract to a Cy young award winner. You people need help. #Tigers

@VandyonTigers Guy gave us 2 cy young years. How can anyone hate on him because he wants a mega contract? He should be cheered. Also, tigers didn’t even make a remotely competitive offer to him. Be mad at Harris and Illitch if you want to be upset.

@jackcuz5 This is what I call the Pistons slappy club. Could’ve traded #5 to improve roster. Collin’s not an upgrade over Tobias. Not handling Duren situation well at all, should trade him because he shouldn’t overpay, not keep a disgruntled overrated big man.

@ajcRodBeard @omarisankofa No. When you fail to improve the roster at all after a 60 win season and getting blown out on your home floor in a game 7, we’ll turn on you.

@IAmEricVincent Having just an average offensive game makes Ausar Thompson lethal. That was holding him back from being a “great player” rather than just a “great defender”. Some fans are content with good enough. We should want more given his potential.

@FoulTerritoryTV @ajpierzynski12 Such a bad take. Young, talented guys trying hard to win baseball games. Trying to make a name for themselves. Trying to earn a bigger contract. They play so well, that they do those things, new stars are born, and that’s a bad thing for the sport?

@PastorDavidUde @BrewerSooner Surgery was months ago and it hasn’t phased him. Henderson is not a better pitcher than Skubal. Let’s just stop with that. A great young pitcher, yes, but in a 7 game series, I want Skubal pitching over Henderson three times. Now you get to face Skubal instead of having him.

@PastorDavidUde @BrewerSooner Not crazy at all. You’d be getting the best pitcher in baseball to pair with Miz, the 2nd best pitcher in baseball. You just prefer not to b/c of team control. But would’ve given you the chance to beat the dodgers. Brews opted for the future instead of going all in.

@PastorDavidUde @BrewerSooner Again. Packages probably aren’t that far off from a value perspective. But Peña not a power hitter. Can’t think of Skubal as a “rental”. He’s b2b cy young winner and would’ve been nasty w/ Miz. Brewers should’ve paid up, 1 of made, Henderson or Lara prob would’ve done it

@PastorDavidUde @BrewerSooner I don’t disagree that the dodgers package was underwhelming and not even close to a package that would’ve included made. What I’m saying is that if you want the best pitcher in baseball, do better than dodgers. Brewers didn’t do that. Zyhir hope was the headliner, not Ryan.

@DarkoStateNews No question he’s an elite talent. But no matter how great he was, he’ll never be a Tiger great the way JV or Miggy are. He can save all the crying unless he ends up signing back here next year. the money we gave framber tells me the money was there for Skubal if he wanted it.

@Trenkens @Baseballfansam9 @TonyKastner34 Miz is a superstar. Skubal has also accomplished more, still pitching like an ace, and still the best pitcher in the game. Miz not far behind. That 1-2 punch would be lethal against a dodgers offense in a 7 game set.

@Baseballfansam9 @TonyKastner34 You’re crazy if you think Miz is throwing game 1 over the back to back cy young winner with playoff experience, and who pitched like a superstar last postseason. You’re just biased because he’s your guy. Enjoy your prospects.
