6th GB-DDWP meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Gilgit Baltistan today discussed 10 schemes costing Rs. 5.3 billion. 6 projects approved, 4 schemes costing Rs. 3.5 billion recommended for review. New initiatives of modular OT, model schools, recreational facilities were cleared.

The Government of Gilgit Baltistan signed today a historic Work Plan with UNICEF Pakistan at Islamabad. The plan is worth 8.35 million US Dollars including 3.5 million dollars as counterpart funding by GB Government. The signing ceremony was graced by CS GB @AbdulKhalidPTI
SALARY DISBURSEMENT TO PROJECT STAFF ACROSS GB Despite budget constraints, the projects staff across Gilgit-Baltistan are fully compensated for relief around Eid. An amount of Rs 267 million has been disbursed to line departments for salaries of the project employees.
Development Review in P&D Department by the CS GB: it was reported that the utilization of funds was 100% against releases. The ACS highlighted an upward trend in projects approval during FY 2022-23. The Chief Secretary appreciated the proactive role played by P&D Department.
GoGB in collaboration with UNDP is organizing an innovation challenge for the youth of GB. Aim is to promote innovative ideas for addressing local challenges. Under the Innovation, teams attended 5 days bootcamp tailored to the needs of each stage. Let the efforts grow ✨️
