I do think people confuse what the Bible records with what God actually intended for us

Too Many Wives. On Polygamy. Abraham was polygamous. So was David, Solomon and perhaps everyone else that model the faith for us, one way or the other in the bible. When Paul instructed through Timothy that anyone qualified to be appointed an elder in the early church must be

Prayer to Our Lady of Fatima for Peace O Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Fatima, In your gentle embrace, we seek refuge and solace. You appeared to the shepherd children, Bringing a message of hope and peace to the world. We turn to you now, with hearts full of faith, Asking for your intercession for peace, Especially in the troubled lands of the Middle East. O Mother of Peace, Guide the leaders of nations to seek understanding and compassion, And inspire all people to embrace dialogue over discord. May your loving presence soften hearts hardened by conflict, And may your grace lead us toward reconciliation and unity. We hold the Holy Rosary in our hands, A powerful weapon against strife and division. With each bead, we meditate on the mysteries of your Son, And we ask for the strength to be instruments of His peace. May the prayers of the Rosary echo in our hearts, Uniting us in love and hope for a brighter tomorrow. Our Lady of Fatima, We entrust our prayers to you, That the light of your Son may shine upon all nations, And that peace may reign in every heart. Help us to be faithful witnesses of your message, Spreading love, compassion, and understanding wherever we go. Amen.

I never really thought about it like that, the New Testament canon lining up is wild

The weirder question to me is not how Catholics and Protestants ended up with different Old Testament canons Catholics and Protestants do all kinds of things differently I'm more fascinated by how we all ended up with the *same* New Testament canon

A PRAYER FOR R.E.D. FRIDAY 🙏🏼 Pray with me: Dear Heavenly Father, On this R.E.D. Friday, we wear red and we remember. We remember the warriors who can’t be home today - standing guard, holding the line, far from their families and everything familiar. Be their strength when they are weary, their peace when the night is long and their protection in every moment. Lord, we lift up every spouse trying to be both parents, every child missing mom or dad, every mother and father praying for a phone call. Wrap them in Your comfort and remind them they are not alone. Let the sight of red today remind this nation that freedom isn’t free. Let our deployed troops feel our prayers and know we are grateful beyond words. Keep them safe. Keep them strong. Bring them home. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen 🙏🏼
