Whales are derisking their positions. Last 7 days on Hyperliquid: OI and price both fell on 54 of 93 coins. That's longs closing. -$497.5M of OI gone. Shorts opening on 11 coins. Longs opening on 0. Leverage is leaving, not flipping short.

Small fix on our Discord alerts. Coins under $1 printed as $0.00. A $PUMP invalidation at ~$0.003 read "$0.00 -> $0.00 (+16.14%)" The % was right, the price told you nothing :) Now anything under $1 keeps 6 significant digits

@tradertheory The whales we track on Hyperliquid aren't volunteering. $BTC, $ETH, $SOL and $XRP rose 1.3-2.6% in 24h, and they added $18.4M of shorts into it vs $1.3M of longs. They sell the breakout, they don't buy it. We'd wait for the retest too.

Miners selling spot, whales shorting perps. The ones we track on Hyperliquid added $9.8M in $BTC shorts in 24h vs $1.4M in longs, and sit net short $18.7M on it. Same direction twice. We'd want to see that supply absorbed before trusting a bounce.

Early Sunday (UTC), one whale closed ~$20M in shorts and flipped to a $BTC long. By Sunday evening, that wallet was flat again. The $HYPE long it added on the way closed red. The wallets we track that didn't touch their shorts are up $1.9M since Saturday. Whales are not perfect every time as you can see.

@Stefan_B_Trades Nice tap. The whales we track on Hyperliquid didn't play the bounce though: $BTC shorts still $41.3M vs $13.6M long. The $110M 40x long we've been watching survived it too, liq $80,276, now 1.6% away. If the bounce holds, those shorts are the next fuel.

@coinglass_com We've been watching this wallet since last night. Account value: $5.8M then, $3.2M now. Down $2.85M today alone. It cut the long from 1,822 to 1,356 $BTC and cut $ETH by two thirds, but kept 40x. Liq is 1.3% away. Smaller size, same leverage, same problem.
