Super productive stuff today. Admittedly, most of my time was spent throwing tennis balls and toys around for the hound. A two hour dog nap followed, allowing me some time to finish the next Dad Chats to... It'll be on your YouTubes later.

There wasn't a sweet dessert. There was a sweet discount at the Indian restaurant - 2 for 1 on starters and 40% off. I feel like I've robbed them. Daughter and I are very full, and after not eating much since last Friday, I've caught up today.
Just me and the daughter for dinner. I've made two very large bowls of mac n cheese, with a cheese tax paid to @BillyCockerSpan If only there was a sweet dessert!...

@DiabeticDadUK Not had tresiba flex pens for last 6 prescriptions now, rather frustrating having to go back to the “old school” cartridge & pen
@DiabeticDadUK Came across this problem a few weeks ago. My usual pharmacy said they couldn't get hold of any humalog vials. After phoning around 15 pharmacies I finally managed to get 3 vials
@DiabeticDadUK Only could pick up 1 of 3 vials on my last refill.
@DiabeticDadUK My favourite line… talk about understatement! MIGHT BE DISTRESSING?! The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) confirmed there were “supply issues with a limited number of insulin products” that patients might find “distressing”.
@DiabeticDadUK Since September 2023 abasaglar and novorapid insulin has taken between 3 days and 4 weeks for my pharmacy to obtain. Very variable. While waiting in pharmacy heard similar for other insulin types Our supply chain was ruined by brexit and worse to come. Same with pen needles
@DiabeticDadUK I think it’s a bit more than “distressing” for a type 1 to not be able to obtain insulin. It’s potentially fatal.
@DiabeticDadUK It took 3 conversations with the GP, 2 with the diabetic clinic and numerous calls to the pharmacy to get a new prescription too. Very time consuming and stressful.
Good morning. Happy Mondays. I'm winding up the laptop for a day of tapping. It seems that the latest illness has passed 😌 I consider myself very fortunate to have access to everything I need to manage my #T1D. Many do not, and in 2024 that's shambolic. Coffee!

@DiabeticDadUK Am I just really stupid... But I can't find a reason anywhere as to why these shortages are coming about (epilepsy meds, insulin, antidepressants, HRT patches)? I thought capitalism, in all it's glorious spender, regulated itself by supply and demand? 🤷♂️
@DiabeticDadUK It took 3 conversations with the GP, 2 with the diabetic clinic and numerous calls to the pharmacy to get a new prescription too. Very time consuming and stressful.
@DiabeticDadUK I've had to change from Humalog to novarapid. I was told it was a 1 to 1 swap but it is not acting with the same speed so my HCl is all over the place.
