The reasons you want something are not more valuable than the consistent actions you take. Discipline comes in when you follow through with those actions whether you want to or not at that moment.

This is the kind of energy I want to put out into the air.

I was talking to a new friend, who works at Lyft, yesterday at the conference and I was expressing how I want my next role to be a senior strategist. And then this morning comes and someone is asking me how much it would take for me to come to his agency as a senior strategist.

Cut back on the stress and any resentment that might be building around the workplace. It’s so easy to work yourself into the ground. If you’re great at what you do, your job will almost always demand more from you. Be proactive against burnout. #selfcare #blackonthejob

If your job offers mental health days, I cannot stress enough…take them. If they don’t, use sick time. It’s so important to reboot and to collect yourself when you need to. In the long run, you’ll be more productive and happier in your day to day.

I had a resume done by @blackonthejob. It’s hands down the best resume I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend them. They have tons of resources that cater to black people in the workforce, helping us get into six figure positions.

A3. Employers can lead by example - offering paid time off and encouraging workers to use it when they need it. EAP's and sharing other local resources for assistance is useful. Creating a culture where work-life-balance is a priority is key. #MentalHealthAtWork

So I added videos to a website and set them to autoplay. For some reason it wouldn’t work when I tested it on my phone. So I reached out to the platform helpdesk and it worked for them. So I tried a different browser, didn’t work. Asked a friend-worked for her. So I tried Google…
