There’s a missing piece between today’s robots and the robots we imagine in the future. Training data. AI models have enormous amounts of text and images to learn from. Robots need something different: countless examples of how humans interact with the physical world. How to pick something up. How to move around an obstacle. How to apply the right amount of force. How to recover when a task doesn’t go as planned. @axisrobotics is building infrastructure around that problem. Its system allows contributors to generate tasks, collect interaction data through simulations and mobile egocentric capture, then process that information into datasets for Physical AI. The goal is to create a loop where participation continuously expands the data supply: More people → more interactions → more coverage → better datasets → better embodied AI. Then comes the commercial layer. Through Task Packages, Axis can package structured data for ecosystem partners, connecting vangrid_io community-driven data collection with industrial demand. And crypto gives the network tools for incentives, transparent contribution tracking and data assetization. So the long-term thesis isn’t simply about generating more trajectories. It’s about building the data infrastructure that helps robots progress from performing narrow tasks to becoming more capable across different environments. Hardware gives robots a body. Models give them intelligence. Data teaches them how to use both. That’s the layer @axisrobotics is building.
