The thing about diabetes is, it’s relentless. You have to think about it nonstop 24/7/365 for life. And if you take a break, even a small one, you risk death. So cut yourself, and the diabetics in your life, some slack. We’re doing the best we can with the hand we were dealt.

Ableism is believing the chronically ill can’t accomplish anything (lowering the price of the insulin we die without), and thus assigning credit for our blood, sweat, & tears to a figurehead politician. Patients have spent a DECADE fighting for insulin4all. Believe THAT.

Hey, CNN: One of your reporters said that the lowered cost of insulin is because of pharmaceutical companies. That's a lie. The lowered cost of insulin is because of President Biden's law that required them to lower costs to $35 for seniors. Give President Biden credit for once.

I hit 19 years T1d this month 🥳 I remember PRAYING daily for a cure as a 10 year old. Reasoning with god that I’ll take it for 2 years but to cure me by 12. So proud of that sweet baby. We’re doin it all anyways girl ✊😭

insulin is expensive, supplies to get the insulin in the body are expensive, continuous glucose monitors are expensive, quarterly endocrinology appointments are expensive, extra general practitioner/eye doctor/etc appointments to watch out for diabetes complications are expensive
