Bob Iger dismisses Marvel fatigue, saying audiences “just want good films. If you build it good. They will come.” “‘Oppenheimer’ is a perfect example of that. Just a fantastic film.”
@DiscussingFilm Love how this is like a revelation for Disney. How do people so dense rise to power like this.
@DiscussingFilm Oppenheimer, and Barbie as well, is an example proving super hero fatigue. Both did amazing at the box office in a year when super hero films were some of the lowest grossing.
@DiscussingFilm you haven’t made any good films go people come
@DiscussingFilm Yeah but Oppenheimer doesn’t need a tv show and 2 movies to understand and having a spin off for Matt Damon’s character afterwards
@DiscussingFilm Loved it when Oppenheimer picked up Thors gammer, said "I am become death, Destroyer of worlds" and blasted Thanos into the sun
@DiscussingFilm How can you say super hero fatigue isn’t real then use the opposite of a super hero movie as an example? Disney is cooked.
@DiscussingFilm Yeah, I don’t know if comparing Oppenheimer and his terrible movies are apt.
@DiscussingFilm He's right. Marvel has suffered a bit on the quality front, but at the same time if they have a good movie audiences will flock to it.
