We need to hear the rationale for the cost cutting, the strategy going forward, product roadmap, and an overall vision from Musk next week on the call otherwise many investors might head for the elevators during this Category 5 perfect storm of weak demand TSLA is seeing globally
@DivesTech Dan, Dan and Dan .....YOU will not hear anything from Qlon and the mystery board, ZERO!
@DivesTech This post feels incomplete without "white-knuckle period"
@DivesTech Here is what you'll get: 1. Interest rates are high. 2. FSD is amazing. 3. I don't have a crystal ball. 4. Prototypes are simple but production is hard.
@DivesTech You need to hear it because you don’t do your job, which is research.
@DivesTech This is nothing but the truth. Not doing this will not be responsible to investors. They have to provide clarity. Even Uber bulls should want this.
@DivesTech I think you don't need to ask about the rationale for cost cutting. It's obvious and just natural in any business.
Unlike previous restructure, there is no immediate successor (permanent replacement) for Drew. And there’s where the problem lies. Restructuring takes time and longer this time to ensure the right leadership is in place for the next growth phase. Restructuring could be risky and does not always succeed. While Elon has been eventually right on many things, he’s been dead wrong on the targeted timetable on almost all projects w/ the exception of Model Y rollout which was by far the least challenging (after Model 3). It’s hard to say how toxic work environment will become / how attractive Tesla will be as a work place considering Elon’s history of mass layoffs w/o any signs of notice in advance. Especially during the restructuring phase,Tesla needs to hire the right talents. And I’m not certain if high compensation is enough to compete against other big tech. I’m still a firm believer in Elon and Tesla’s future. His decision to focus more on FSD / robotics / AI is correct especially considering EV adoption growth has considerably slowed down. Yes, high interest rates partly drove the slowdown but it also appears hybrid has more staying power than expected at least for next couple of years. Imo the ride will be bumpy for the ST w/ more correction on the stock ahead. But this is still a great investment for the LT.
@DivesTech The roadmap is clear. Not sure why you are asking for something that has already been explained.
